Doge's Palace Ticket Prices

Doge's Palace tickets: 35 EUR standard, 30 EUR online 30+ days ahead (Nov 2026). What the reserved-entry ticket buys, the Museum Pass and who goes free.

Updated November 2026

MUVE, the foundation that runs the Doge’s Palace, charges 35 EUR standard for its St. Mark’s Square Museums ticket (at the ticket office, or online within 30 days of the visit) and 30 EUR online if you buy at least 30 days before your visit; the reduced ticket is 15 EUR and children under 6 go in free (checked November 2026). Venezia Unica by Vela Spa’s Venice: Doge’s Palace Reserved Entry Ticket, in the calendar below, is from $39 (checked November 2026), and that option admits you from 12:00 PM until closing. If an afternoon visit suits you, it is the simplest ticket to book; if you want to be inside before noon, it is the wrong one.

Powerd by GetYourGuide

The calendar is the reserved-entry ticket, with 46,296 reviews (checked November 2026). It is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, so pick the date with care.

The reduced ticket is for children aged 6 to 14, students aged 15 to 25, visitors over 65 and holders of the Rolling Venice card or an ISIC card. Children under 6, Venetian residents, disabled visitors with a helper and ICOM members go in free, among other groups. MUVE also admits holders of the St. Mark’s Square Museums ticket who have no entry time slot from 12:00 only (all MUVE, checked November 2026). The two guided tours are on the Secret Itineraries page.

What the reserved-entry ticket buys

On 27 November 2026 the ticket had three options, at the same prices on 20 January and 10 March 2027:

OptionPriceWhat it adds
Venice: Doge’s Palace Reserved Entry TicketUS$39.01The palace from 12:00 PM until closing on your date, with the Correr, the Archaeological Museum and the Marciana rooms
St. Mark’s City Pass OnlyUS$48.93The same, plus the Scuola Grande dei Carmini and the Querini Stampalia Foundation
Venice City PassUS$70.11The same, plus MUVE’s eight other museums, from Ca’ Rezzonico to the Glass Museum on Murano

Prices for one adult, read in November 2026; two adults paid twice as much.

All three are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Children under 6 and disabled visitors with their carers go in free, but collect their tickets at the ticket office on arrival. The two pass options say they include everything in the palace ticket, so check the entry time on the option you pick.

A reserved ticket buys a date, not a separate door: MUVE describes no special entrance for it, and MUVE’s notice to visitors says bags may be checked at the entrance (MUVE, checked November 2026). Reviews of the ticket bear this out. Of the 350 reviews that were posted from 8 October to 7 November 2026, one of 22 October (in French) reports a 30-minute queue to get in, one of 4 November says its “skip the line” was no different from any other line, and one of 22 October (in Portuguese) says there was no QR code for entry and the ticket office would not accept the card receipt instead. A review of 3 November found a QR code for the free audio guide at the entrance.

From prices (checked November 2026). Treat them as the shape of the market, not a quote: on the dates read, THE TOUR SHOP SRL’s audio-guide option was US$56.85, Crown Tours’ palace-only tour US$46.81 to US$80.25 and its 2-hour guided tour US$99.20.

What you give up for booking the US$39 option is the morning and the refund; what you gain is a confirmed date in the same account as the rest of your trip. Going up the table, the extra money buys a guide and the Basilica, not a different palace.

Which ticket for which visit

For a visit before noon booked at least 30 days ahead, MUVE’s online ticket at 30 EUR is the cheapest way in. For an afternoon visit booked closer to the date, the US$39 ticket in the calendar above does the job. If you will see several of the city museums within six months, the Museum Pass at 50 EUR covers the palace and the rest. And if the rooms off the regular route are why you are going, MUVE’s own Secret Itineraries ticket at 40 EUR includes the regular route as well, so you need nothing else.

Where you go in

Map of the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica in Venice: the Doge's Palace entrance at the Porta del Frumento, the Porta della Carta where visitors leave, the Bridge of Sighs, and the walk on foot from the San Zaccaria Danieli water-bus stop, 237 m, and San Marco Vallaresso, 334 m
Every palace ticket goes in by the Porta del Frumento on the Piazzetta San Marco and out by the Porta della Carta. Distances on foot.

Every ticket enters by the Porta del Frumento on the Piazzetta San Marco and leaves by the Porta della Carta. Each ticket allows one entry, so once you are out you cannot go back in, and the ticket offices stop selling half an hour to an hour before closing (MUVE visitor regulations, checked November 2026). How long the Doge’s Palace takes has the hours and the last admission.
